The New American Ghetto is a short review of a gallery exhibition by Camillo Jose Vergara. The other papers are significantly more indepth. Parisian Waste Management traces the way that Paris has dealt with its detritus - corpses, sewage, garbage - and its sanitation since the Middle Ages. The Privatization of Public Space is my MA Thesis on the subtle but significant changes taking place on the American landscape, the papers on Battery Park City, Los Angeles gated Communities and the Mall of America are all chapters out of the Thesis that can read independently.
